Gary W. Capone joined APICS in 1995 and has served on the board of the Blue Ridge Chapter since 2006.  In 2009, Gary was elected Chapter President.  In addition to Gary’s role as President, he also manages the APICS website.  Gary has taught at Chapter Professional Development Meetings and Mid-Atlantic District Meetings, and was a speaker at the APICS International Conference and Expo in 2009 and 2010.  He will be delivering a double session on interviewing at the 2011 conference in Pittsburgh.

Gary co-founder and President and of Palladian International, LLC.  Palladian is a career coaching firm specializing in interview coaching.  He is a graduate of the Management and Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where he concurrently earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business.  Gary has experience in manufacturing, distribution, accounting, finance and human resources, gained from positions at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Newell-Rubbermaid, Kforce, Raymond James and Target Corp.

Gary has published three books, Power Up Your Job Search: A Modern Approach to Interview Preparation, Resume Writing for Manufacturing Careers, and Resume Objective Statements and Professional Summaries.  He is also the author of the Palladian Career Resource Blog with over 300 articles published on resume writing, interview and job search topics.  In 2011, Gary started writing for Maryanne Ross’s Lean Genie website, a site dedicated to teaching lean techniques.
