At our June 9th Professional Development Meeting, we held an election adding one new board member and changing several positions.  The vote unanimously approved the board changes.

For nearly a year, Gary Capone has held the roles of Chapter President and VP of Finance.  A search has been ongoing for a person to take one of these roles over.  Recently, Maryanne Ross volunteered to become Chapter President.  This is Maryanne’s second term as Blue Ridge Chapter President.  In January 2008, Maryanne joined the APICS International Board, and resigned her position as Blue Ridge Chapter President.  Maryanne’s two year term on the International board ended, and she agreed to resume her role as Chapter President.  Gary  will continue as VP of Financial.

We are pleased to add Sonya Bush, Material Planner with The Hershey Company, to our board.  Sonya will be a board member at-large.

The board changes will take effect July 1, 2011.
